Dear Diary,
Today didnt work so woke up quite late..lol! Felt so good to wake up late..lol.. i sound like a pig.. i think i've grown fatter.. =x
anyway, today went to the GuanYin Temple with my mum in the afternoon.. went there to 'qiu2 qian1'.. then asked Guan Yin Pu Sa about Keele Uni and NIE.. The results show that Guan Yin Pu Sa thinks that going UK is better than NIE.. the UK i got 'Shang4 Qian1' or 'good'.. then NIE i got 'Zhong1 Qian1' or 'Medium'.. but both are still good.. lol.. last time I went to Seng Kang the temple asking for Keele Uni the results was also good..
2 yrs and i get dual honours..
V.S.
4yrs and i get single degree w or w/o honours..
but i calculated..
if i go Keele Uni, I have to spend a total of about
SGD $33,675/yr including Subsidised tuition fee from the scholarship and living expense like accomodation(standard room without washbasin), food, books, etc. And the air fare from SIN-London(Heathrow) is
$1,459.. but then if i want to travel to the airport nearer to Keele Uni which is at Newcastle.. the cost from SIN-Newcastle is
$6,410. Such a BIG difference! then actually from SIN-London takes about 6hr 30mins.. and from London-Newcastle takes about 1hr by air..
so ex.. so total cost is about
SGD$40,000/yr..and the cost may be even higher.. X_X
OH MAN!
for 2 yrs.. roughly gonna spend like
SGD$100,000 if I return back to SG during end of yr break which is from 14June-24Sept..
actually the good thing about it is that actually I only need to study less than 2 yrs.. cos' each yr only study about 8.5 months..from 25Sept-13June..
if I go NIE..
I will get paid a salary of
$1,779.69 per month for 2 yrs.. so in total is
$42,712.56 for 2 yrs..
and i
don't need to pay a single cent for my 4yr degree course.. but only thing is i need to bond for 4 yrs.. with no regrets cos' 8yrs will be committed to teaching..
of course, this BSc in Education Degree is not as good as BA in Music and Music Tech (Dual Hons).. cos' its harder to change career next time.. by the time i finish bond.. i'll be like 28/29yrs.. so old le..
for Music degree I can still go NIE but for only 1 yr then teach.. and they'll pay me like
$2,500 per month salary in NIE..
and if i realise i don't like teaching, I can still find other music or audio related jobs next time..
haix.. if i or my family members strike lottery then good le..
so expensive..
so which one will you choose??
