time is ticking..

Dear Diary,

haha.. wed's MDA interview didnt go that well i guess.. =( haix.. they say only sponsor for tuition fees if I get selected and I must wait till mid july then will know the results.. wad if I dont receive? cos' i calculated again, if they can sponsor my full tuition fees, I will need to spend about SGD$23,000 per year on my accomodation, air fare and living expenses..

If not, I will have to pay SGD$40,000 per year.. roughly estimated.. -_-

Haix.. the interviewers were a bit fierce and unfriendly looking.. so especially when they told me that the scholarship only can cover tuition fees, i was like sian 1/2..

cos' their website put cover fees up till maximum of $100K per year.. or $50K.. but didnt put tuition fees only.. then when I went to apply for the scholarship online, I had to also put down the accomodation and cost of living expenses etc..

then so sian.. I brought and prepared so many things just for the interview.. even brought my laptop to show them my original works and my certs/achievements.. but they didnt bother to take a look..

then i guess i was quite disappointed after they told me only can sponsor tuition fees and asked me whether I can afford the living expenses there, till I forgot to ask them about the criteria of the scholarship when I return to SIN after graduation.. oh man!!

So i really thought about it these few days.. after speaking to sooooo many ppl.. and asking them for suggestions and stuffs..

going keele university is definitely a super rare opportunity.. and actually I only study for 1 and a half years.. less than 2 yrs.. cos sept start sch.. then april-may got 1 month of break and june-sept another 3 months of break.. which I can return back to SIN for the 1st yr..

then 2nd yr.. I can dont come back.. use the april-may break to study for final yr or travel around UK.. then guess wad.. june 2010 i'm back to SIN...with a Dual Hons BA in Music and Music Technology..

but the problem is the money..

i just calculated.. the airfare is $1459.. one way trip..

13hr25mins journey..

cos' UK and SIN time difference of 7 hours..

meaning.. UK 3pm, SIN 10pm

then I got another idea..

Im going to study Psychology in NUS next yr..

which means for now till next yr, I will go find a full time job.. related to my diploma..

earn some money..

next yr try applying for local scholarships.. if can..

and then spend my next 7yrs to get a Masters in Psychology.. and then become a psychiatrist or a counsellor.. lol..

wad a dream..

but sch fees is about $6360 per yr for undergraduate course.. 4yrs.. if with a Degree Hons..

at least will have time to earn and save for the money..

so how??

if i choose psychology.. i will spend a lot of time studying..

if i choose keele.. only less than 2 yrs.. but money is such a hindrance.. lol!!

anyway,

im sure i will work things out very soon.. though i keep saying it.. just to make myself feel better..

time is ticking..
